Another MP Visit: London Commercial Supplies

MPs continue to get behind the Keep It Local campaign replying to letters sent out requesting a meeting. This week Clare Storey from London Commercial Supplies met with her local Labour MP and sent us the following summary.

“Thank you for reaching out to my local MP, Ruth Cadbury. I had the opportunity to meet with Ruth and her colleague Jo this morning for a coffee meeting. They were both keen to learn more about my business and Nemo Office Club as a group.

“We discussed the important role SMEs play in supporting local economies across the country and the benefits of keeping business local, reducing carbon footprints, strengthening communities, and ensuring SMEs have competitive buying power. Ruth was particularly interested in exploring ways to further support local businesses. She took notes to bring to Parliament and provided some valuable contacts. Additionally, she assured me that she would speak with her contact at the local council regarding their procurement policies and commitment to supporting local businesses.”

The meeting was both insightful and productive, and I hope it will lead to new opportunities for London Commercial Supplies and other local suppliers nationwide.
